Arabica and Robusta are the two most popular coffee varieties and also account for the largest proportion of all coffee varieties in the world.
Compared to Robusta, Arabica requires planting in higher elevations with cooler climates (about 3,000 – 6,000 feet above sea level). Arabica coffee has a better taste but is also more “difficult” than Robusta. It takes longer for Arabica coffee berries to ripen, and the yield is also lower, but Arabica produces coffee beans with a more delicious taste, so its price is also twice as high as Robusta.
Meanwhile, Robusta seems to be more “pleasant”, this type of coffee prefers warmer and drier climates, with an ideal altitude of about 2,000 feet above sea level. As its name suggests, Robusta has a strong growth rate and an impressive ability to withstand adverse conditions where Arabica would wither.
The blend of Arabica and Robusta is made to create a balanced and rich cup of coffee. The light acidity of Arabica combined with the rich body of Robusta will create a perfect coffee.
